Vela runs almost entirely in your browser. No sign-up required, and we never ask for your name, email, or phone number to use the core features.

If you create an account (optional): Your chart and health logs can be synced to Supabase (our database provider), encrypted and accessible only to you. You can delete your account and all synced data at any time.
Vela handles sensitive health information including menstrual cycle dates, symptoms, mood, sleep, and hormonal patterns. We take this seriously, especially in light of evolving reproductive privacy laws in the United States.
Your cycle, symptom, mood, sleep, and energy data is stored exclusively on your device (localStorage). It is never uploaded to our servers, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising or analytics.

To delete all local health data at any time: open Vela → Share tab → Reset all data.
When you use Vela's AI features (daily guidance, Advisor, chart insights), we send an anonymised summary of your context to our AI provider. This includes things like your Sun sign, current cycle phase, and recent mood — never your name, email, birth city, or account details.
Our AI is currently powered by DeepSeek. Their privacy policy applies to data processed through their API. We do not store AI responses on our servers — they're generated fresh each time and cached only in your browser.

Vela is not designed for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our site, please contact us and we'll remove it promptly.
Local data (stored in your browser) stays until you clear it — it's on your device, not ours. If you have an account, synced data is retained until you delete your account. Anonymous analytics data is retained per Google and Microsoft's standard retention policies.
Depending on your location (GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California, and similar laws elsewhere), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights:
